Special volunteering for special people
"It is when you give of yourself that you truly give”
from Giving, Gibran Khalil Gibran
Volunteers play an essential role in helping run each of the programs at the Village.
They help create friendly, supportive and open frameworks in which the children can talk freely with their fellow campers who are coping with similar situations, about their dreams, hopes and fears.
If you are over 18, have a desire to give, are committed to the cause and feel you are special, happy, sensitive and able to be inclusive, we invite you to choose from the following volunteer opportunities at the Village.
Volunteer opportunities at the Village:
This team accompanies the participants in all the activities throughout the 7 day session, to ensure they have a safe, happy and empowering stay in the Village. The social counseling volunteers arrive at the Village the day before the start of the session for which they have registered, for team orientation and training.
The stay at the village includes a wide range of activities: art, music, adventure park, horse riding, sports activities and swimming, petting zoo, cookery, and other workshops as offered by the volunteers. We need a supportive and encouraging team to hold these programs, participating in the activities as appropriate. Activities team: activity and class counselors, lifeguards, instructors for the sports.
Counselors' Support Team
If you are looking for a very special professional volunteer opportunity in which you can support an enthusiastic and committed team facing daily challenges in its work, and feel you can contribute, encourage and strengthen this team, you are invited to participate in a meaningful volunteer experience with us. This option is intended for therapy professionals only: social workers, psychologists, professional group and workshop facilitators, and therapists.
The Jordan River Village on-site Medical Center provides a professional medical response for the children at the Village 24 hours a day. The on-site medical center is in need of volunteer doctors and nurses, including night shifts and on-call shifts. This opportunity is intended for qualified medical professionals only: doctors, nursing staff, paramedics and pharmacists.
Administrative and Logistic Team
We need volunteers to help the permanent staff run the Village (gardening, kitchen, drivers, secretaries and computer people).
If you come from a specific professional field that can be incorporated in the Village as a one-time workshop (meditation, juggling, jewelry, hair styling, and so on) and are prepared to contribute your time - this is the time and the place!
Volunteering at the Village is conditional on an admissions process.
Do any of the options interest you? Fill out the attached form and we will get back to you as soon as possible!
